Things I am thankful for at the time of this writing:
1. I’m in a non-evacuation zone.
2. My secure concrete building with double pane category 10 windows and glass doors and we think is at least a Category 5 building, as it’s only 5 years old but stands 15 stories. 😅
3. My great community with people who care and check in on me and others, especially my church. They also board up ALL the businesses in the downtown and surrounding.
4. My family, friends and clients who checked in on me regularly from PA, Ohio, Israel, Switzerland, Germany, UK, India and beyond! I love you all so much. 😍
4. My neighbors who are there with a laugh about certain commentators comments either online or in the news. 😁
5. I did not lose electricity.
Fairing the storm and experiencing it was far better than evacuating in the sense of worrying about running out of gas, finding a hotel, flooding roads, etc.
I hope you are all safe no matter what Mother Nature sends our way for the remainder of the year – North, South, East or West.
I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T.
