This Tasty Tuesday, let’s talk about a veggie that’s as stunning as it is delicious—the Watermelon Radish!
What’s a Watermelon Radish?
Don’t let the name fool you—this isn’t a mix between a watermelon and a radish. It’s a beautiful heirloom radish with a pale green exterior and a vibrant pink interior, making it a showstopper in any dish!
How Does It Taste?
Crisp and mildly peppery, it’s less spicy than regular radishes, with a hint of sweetness. It’s perfect raw in salads, pickled or thinly sliced as a colorful garnish.
Why You’ll Love It:
- Packed with antioxidants & vitamin C
- Supports digestion & gut health
- Low in calories, high in fiber
- Adds a gorgeous pop of color to any meal!
Where to Find It?
I’ve purchased mine from Whole Foods Market and local farmers markets, but check your favorite organic store—you might be surprised!
Have you tried Watermelon Radish before? Let me know how you love to enjoy it!

I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
