Let’s do National Banana Day as part of Wellness Wednesday and when you want a healthy dessert, you can make my chocolate mousse with just a few ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen…

Why Bananas Are a Wellness Hero:

  • Potassium: Supports heart health and regulates blood pressure
  • Vitamin B6: Aids in brain function and metabolism
  • Vitamin C: Boosts immunity and supports skin health

Chocolate Mousse 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 Ripe Avocado
  • 2 Ripe Banana (for less fat double bananas)
  • 2 T cacao
  • 1 T maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Splashes of unsweetened plant milk if needed to blend

Instructions:

  • Place all ingredients in a mini blender and blend until smooth, adding plant milk as needed to ensure it is blending but not for the purpose of making it “runny”.
  • Adjust flavours (chocolate, syrup, salt)
  • Chill 1 hour then serve.
