Happy Seasonal Sunday, Plant Lovers!
This week, we’re highlighting peaches—a summertime favorite that’s hitting peak season across the U.S. from May through August. Sweet, juicy and full of sunshine, peaches are perfect raw—but have you tried grilling them?
Grilling caramelizes their natural sugars and gives them a warm, smoky twist that’s absolutely delicious.
Why You’ll Love Peaches:
- Rich in vitamins A & C
- Naturally sweet and hydrating
- High in fiber for digestive health
- Antioxidant-rich and anti-inflammatory
How to Enjoy Grilled Peaches:
- Halve, pit and place cut-side down on a hot grill or grill pan for 3–4 minutes, until grill marks form and the fruit is softened (no oil needed).
- Slice and add to salad or as a side condiment, dice into your favorite salsa or chutney recipe.
Choose fruit that’s slightly soft and fragrant or let firmer ones ripen at room temp (stem-side down, not touching).
Don’t miss out—they’re only here for a few sunny months!

I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
