Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup shelled edamame (cooked & cooled)
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon or lime juice
  • 1 small garlic clove (grated or minced)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional add-ins: chopped cilantro, chili flakes, sesame seeds or a drizzle of tahini
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mash the avocado and edamame together using a fork or potato masher.
  • Add lemon/lime juice, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix until combined but still a little chunky.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Toast your favorite bread, then spread the smash generously on top.
  • Garnish with your fave toppings—think radish slices, microgreens, chili flakes or a sprinkle of hemp seeds.
