Are you overwhelmed and unsure of what to put on your plate?
Are you overwhelmed with all the Plant-based YouTubers?
Are you overwhelmed with ingredients?
The best advice I can give you when you’re starting out or have been at it for a while, is just KEEP IT SIMPLE.
We can get very extravagant with recipes, ingredients and gorgeous mouthwatering photos, but in the end some of these dishes can be rich and even higher in fat, salt and flavours which could cause you to over-eat.
By keeping it simple you’re sort of tricking your tastebuds in to more bland or plain foods. So my best advice it to make you plate half starch and half veg. This could be a large baked potato and salad or roasted veggies. It could be steamed rice with steamed veggies. Even a whole grain or gluten-free pasta with a red sauce made of all veggies is incredibly satisfying and OK to eat. (All oil free of course).
Eating this way, also takes the “think” or worry out of what to make.
It is a nice change to reboot or even detox the body while rekindling your original purpose for going plant-based. Unless it was, of course, to become a world renowned gourmet chef. 😊
To your health!
I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
