I’m sharing a snack that’s perfect for anyone craving something easy to make with ingredients you probably already have. Plus, it’s totally oil-free, so you can snack away without any worries!
These crunchy baked chickpeas are the perfect go-to for a Friday night! They’re loaded with plant-based protein, fiber, and have a satisfying crunch that rivals any store-bought chip. The best part? They’re easy to whip up with just a few simple ingredients!
Here’s the Quick & Easy Recipe:
Ingredients:
-
- 1 can of chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (or any favorite spice: garlic powder, chili powder, or cumin)
- ½ tsp sea salt
- Optional: a dash of cayenne for a spicy kick!
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chickpeas dry with a paper towel to remove any moisture. The drier they are, the crunchier they’ll get!
- Toss the chickpeas with the spices and salt until evenly coated.
- Spread them out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through to ensure even crisping. They’re ready when they’re golden and crispy.
That’s it! These make a great topping for salads, a healthy popcorn replacement for movie night or an on-the-go snack.

I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
