A significant Arctic air mass has swept across the United States, bringing unusually cold temperatures and dangerous conditions to many regions. Even Florida, known for its warm climate, is feeling the chill with freeze warnings and brisk weather impacting much of the state.

Miami: Currently seeing cloudy skies with temperatures around 64°F (18°C). The week ahead is expected to remain cooler than usual, with highs in the mid-60s to low 70s and lows dipping into the 50s.

Orlando: Experiencing partly sunny conditions at 52°F (11°C). Freeze warnings are in effect for Marion and Flagler counties, with a cold weather advisory in place for parts of Central Florida

Tallahassee: At 44°F (6°C), this area is preparing for a rare snow and ice storm, with a Winter Storm Warning predicting snow and ice accumulations that could disrupt travel.

This rare winter pattern is affecting much of the Gulf Coast and Southern states, bringing heavy snow, ice, and frigid temperatures. With such cold weather gripping the nation, it’s the perfect time to cozy up indoors and enjoy a comforting, plant-based meal like my Meatless Stew. Stay warm and safe!
