Dr. John McDougall’s phrase “the fat you eat is the fat you wear” emphasizes the direct relationship between dietary fat intake and body fat accumulation. His stance is that all fats, including those considered “good” fats like nuts, oil and avocados (🥑 yep, I know it’s international avocado day and they do have value and nutrients but not if one is over their ideal weight). See my email about oil and how they’re not good fats, rancid, etc.
These fats can contribute to weight gain and obesity if consumed in excess. McDougall advocates for a low-fat, whole-food, plant-based diet to prevent and reverse obesity and other health issues. These “good” fats are calorie-dense and can hinder weight loss efforts, particularly in those already struggling with obesity.
But I’m here for you and…
I love you all❣️
I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
