Dear Plant-Powered Community,
This Thankful Thursday, we’re diving into the tropical wonder of mangoes – nature’s most delicious golden treasure!
Mangoes are far more than just a sweet treat:
- Nicknamed the “king of fruits” in many cultures.
- Contains over 20 different vitamins and minerals.
- Originated in India over 4,000 years ago.
- Supports digestive health with powerful enzymes.
- Grown in more than 100 countries worldwide.
We’re grateful for mangoes because they:
- Represent cultural diversity and global connectivity.
- Burst with incredible natural sweetness.
- Provide immune-boosting nutrients.
- Inspire incredible culinary creativity.
If you can’t find these fresh in your region, they can be found in the frozen section of most grocery stores. You can thaw them and add them with other fruit to make a nice fruit cocktail, add to your favorite salsa or a topping for oats.

I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
