We all love a refreshing juice or smoothie now and then, but did you know that simply eating whole fruits and vegetables is the best way to fuel your body? 🥕🍏
While juicing and blending can be quick ways to get nutrients, here’s why you may want to stick with nature’s original design—whole fruits and veggies:
🌱 Fiber is Your Friend
When you juice, you lose the fiber that helps your body absorb nutrients slowly and steadily. Fiber is essential for digestion, helps you feel full longer, and keeps your blood sugar in check. Smoothies do retain fiber, but nothing beats the natural structure of whole produce!
🍎 Balanced Nutrient Absorption
Whole fruits and veggies give your body everything—vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber—just the way they were meant to be. Eating them whole ensures you get a steady stream of energy without the sugar spikes often caused by juices.
🥬 Hydration + Satisfaction
Fruits and vegetables have a high water content, making them naturally hydrating. Plus, the act of chewing stimulates your digestive system, helping you feel more satisfied compared to drinking your fruits and veggies.
So, next time you’re craving something refreshing, reach for a crunchy carrot or a juicy apple! Not only will you quench your thirst, but you’ll also be giving your body exactly what it needs to thrive.

Stay hydrated the natural way!
I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
