The Super Bowl is right around the corner and that means it’s time for game-day snacks! This Savory Saturday, let’s ditch the greasy chips and go for something just as crispy, savory and totally plant-based—Loaded Sweet Potato Nachos!
Why You’ll Love Them:
- Crunchy baked sweet potato slices instead of tortilla chips
- Protein-packed black beans or lentils for a hearty bite
- Creamy avocado and fresh salsa for the perfect topping

How to Make Them:
- Slice sweet potatoes thinly and bake at 375°F (190°C) until crisp.
- Top with seasoned black beans, diced tomatoes, jalapeños and red onions.
- Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and enjoy the crunch!
- And of course my Nacho “Cheese” drizzled at the finish! (REPLY if you’d like that recipe)
These nachos are perfect for game day—bold, flavorful and totally guilt-free. Who says plant-based can’t be indulgent?

Wishing you a winning and delicious Savory Saturday!

I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
