Happy Wellness Wednesday,
At first glance, snow peas might look simple, just flat, green pods you can toss in a stir-fry or crunch on raw. But don’t let their delicate appearance fool you.
Snow peas carry a hidden power, crisp sweetness paired with impressive nutrition. They’re naturally high in fiber, which helps keep digestion smooth and they bring a fresh dose of vitamin C for immune support. Unlike many veggies, you eat the entire pod, so nothing is wasted, every bite delivers both flavor and benefit.
They’re quick to cook, easy to snack on and add a refreshing crunch to any plant-based meal. Sometimes, the quietest foods are the ones that surprise you the most.
So next time you see these slender pods, remember, they’re more than just green. They’re little slips of nourishment.
Next week, we’ll dive into their close cousins, snap peas. They may look similar, but their crunch tells a very different story.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
