Hello & Happy Savory Saturday,
Today for Savory Saturday, we’re celebrating a cozy spice that deserves a spot in your savory cooking, Cinnamon. Most people think of it in oatmeal or desserts, but it can transform your savory meals in the best way.
Cinnamon adds gentle warmth without being spicy and it deepens the flavor of soups, stews and tomato-based dishes. It pairs beautifully with lentils, chickpeas, roasted vegetables and even simple rice bowls. Just a small pinch can completely elevate a dish.
Along with its flavor, cinnamon is naturally anti-inflammatory and full of antioxidants, making it a delicious way to support your wellness while adding richness and comfort to your meals.
Give it a try in something savory this weekend, you might be surprised how much you love it.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
