At first glance, it looks like something savory, smoky, maybe even a little unexpected.
But this week’s favorite isn’t meat. It’s not processed. And there’s no oil involved.
Meet Oil-Free Tofu Jerky, chewy, deeply flavorful and surprisingly satisfying.
Thin slices of tofu are marinated in tamari, a touch of maple, smoked paprika and warming spices, then baked low and slow until the edges darken and the texture turns perfectly dense and snackable. The result? A rich, smoky bite with just enough sweetness to keep you reaching for another piece.
It’s the kind of snack that actually keeps you full, protein-forward, plant-based and travel-friendly. Perfect for afternoon cravings, post-workout fuel or those “I need something savory” moments.
Simple ingredients. Big flavor. Zero oil.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
