For this Thankful Thursday, I wanted to share one simple ingredient I truly appreciate in my kitchen, Tamari Sauce.

I love using San-J’s tamari (the green label). It’s a gluten-free soy sauce and one of the lowest in sodium, which makes it a staple I feel good about reaching for again and again.

What I really enjoy about it is how versatile it is. I use it in so many dishes, in stews, my Bolognese, stir fry sauces, pad thai and even just over rice and vegetables. There’s something about it that adds a deep, rich flavor that almost makes certain dishes taste a little more “beefy,” even when they’re completely plant-based.

It’s also one of my go-to ingredients for marinades, especially for tofu. It brings everything together with that perfect balance of savory and depth.

Sometimes it’s the simplest ingredients that make the biggest difference and this is definitely one of them for me.
