Menopause is a natural stage of life, yet it often seems to come with an endless list of products, supplements, tests and treatments.
While a small percentage of women may truly need medical care, many experts agree that healthy lifestyle habits should remain the foundation of good health during this transition.
A whole-food, plant-based diet, regular physical activity, quality sleep, stress management and meaningful social connections all play an important role in supporting overall well-being.
Much like fad diets, pills, shots, creams and other quick fixes are not sustainable.
Before reaching for another supplement or gadget, it may be helpful to ask whether the foundations of health are already in place.
How have you found balance during menopause?

I started out over a decade ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
