Happy Thankful Thursday!
Thankful Thursday brings us back to one of the simplest yet most powerful gifts of nature, green tea. For centuries, this humble leaf has been treasured across Asia not only as a drink, but as a ritual of mindfulness and gratitude.
Packed with antioxidants like catechins, green tea supports heart health, boosts metabolism and gently sharpens focus, without the jittery edge of coffee. But beyond the science, a warm cup invites us to pause, breathe and reflect.
So how can we use it? The classic way is simple, steep one teaspoon of loose green tea (or one tea bag) in hot, not boiling, water for 2–3 minutes. Add a squeeze of lemon, a drizzle of honey or even a few mint leaves if you like. You can also enjoy it chilled as a refreshing iced tea.
Today, take a moment with your cup. Let each sip remind you of the quiet strength and calm that gratitude brings.
Here’s to Thankful Thursday, may your tea be warm and your heart even warmer.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
