Here’s a simple wellness tip that many people overlook:
Slow down when you eat.
In today’s busy world, it’s easy to eat while working, scrolling on your phone, watching television or rushing from one task to the next. But taking a little extra time with your meals can make a surprising difference.
When you eat more slowly, you’re often better able to enjoy your food, recognize when you’re comfortably satisfied and appreciate the flavors and textures of your meal.
Try setting down your fork between bites, chewing thoroughly or simply taking a few extra minutes to enjoy your meal without distractions.
What’s one small wellness habit that has worked well for you?

I started out over a decade ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
