Sometimes the most comforting recipes are also the simplest. This warm apple spice tea is one of those beautiful little kitchen rituals that fills the house with an incredible aroma while giving your body a gentle, nourishing drink.
Apples bring a light natural sweetness, while warming spices like cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and ginger create a cozy, soothing blend. A pinch of turmeric adds a beautiful golden color and is often paired with a tiny bit of black pepper to help the body absorb its beneficial compounds.
Apple Spice Glow Tea
Ingredients
- 3 round apple slices
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 cloves
- 3 cardamom pods (elaichi)
- 1 small cube of fresh ginger
- A pinch of turmeric
- A tiny pinch of black pepper
- Fresh mint leaves for serving
Instructions
Add all ingredients except the mint leaves to a small pot with about 2 cups of water and bring to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 10–12 minutes so the flavors blend.

If you enjoy a little sweetness, you can add a touch of maple syrup.
Simple, soothing and perfect for a quiet moment this weekend.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
