Sometimes the simplest things are the most satisfying.
If you’ve never tried banana “nice cream,” you’re in for a treat. It’s creamy, naturally sweet and made from just one main ingredient: frozen bananas. When blended, they transform into a soft, smooth texture that feels just like ice cream, without any dairy, added sugar or fuss.
Banana “Nice Cream”
Ingredients:
- 2 frozen sliced bananas
- 1–2 tbsp plant milk (only if needed for blending)
Optional flavor add-ins:
- 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup frozen berries
- 1 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Place the frozen banana slices into a blender or food processor. Blend until the bananas break down and become thick and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. If your blender needs a little help, add 1–2 tablespoons of plant milk to get things moving.
Once smooth and creamy, blend in any flavor add-ins you like, cocoa powder for a chocolate version, berries for a fruity twist or peanut butter for something rich and satisfying.
Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture or freeze for about 30–60 minutes if you prefer it a little firmer.
Simple, sweet and surprisingly indulgent.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
