Bloating is one of those symptoms many women notice during menopause, but is it only hormonal?
While hormonal shifts can play a role, gut health is often part of the picture too. The way your body digests and processes food can directly impact how you feel day to day.
Digestive discomfort isn’t always just about hormones, it can also reflect what your body is (or isn’t) getting consistently.
Simple food choices can make a difference. Fiber-rich foods help support digestion, while fermented plant foods like sauerkraut and kimchi introduce beneficial bacteria that support a healthier gut environment.
It’s not about overcomplicating things, just paying attention to how your body responds and supporting it with what it needs.
Small shifts can lead to noticeable changes over time.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
