Cherry tomatoes and grape tomatoes may look almost identical at first glance, but they’re actually a little different.

Cherry tomatoes are usually rounder, juicier and slightly sweeter, while grape tomatoes tend to be firmer, meatier and a little less watery and, well, shaped like a grape!

Both are incredibly versatile and one of the things I’m especially thankful for this time of year.

I remember how easy these were for my parents to grow when I was a child.

Cherry tomatoes are wonderful tossed into salads, roasted until they burst or added to simple pasta dishes. Grape tomatoes hold up beautifully in lunch boxes, grain bowls and skewers because of their firmer texture.

And when roasted, both become even sweeter and richer in flavor.

It’s one of those simple ingredients that can make meals feel brighter, fresher and more colorful without much effort.

Which do you prefer?

I’d love to hear how you enjoy using them.
