Hello,
This Thankful Thursday, I’m sending a big thank-you to my dear friends at Buell Homestead Farm Market, they are located off of Cheshire Road in Galena, Ohio, eight generations of dedicated vegetable farmers. Their passion for growing fresh, nutrient-packed produce has been a cornerstone of my plant-based journey.
From their microgreens production to their famous summer sweet corn and fall pumpkins or squash, were the very best I’ve ever tasted. Those tiny, vibrant greens added such a burst of flavor and nutrition to so many of my salads and bowls and it was a go-to for me.
While they’ve paused microgreen production for now, good news awaits, summer sweet corn will soon be in full swing and as autumn approaches, you’ll find pumpkins and more fall favorites right at their stand. Whether you’re looking for sweet, sun-warmed ears of corn or planning your pumpkin-picking excursion, they have you covered.
If you’re in the Columbus–Sunbury area, please swing by Buell Homestead Farm Market and show your support for these eighth-generation stewards of the land. Let’s celebrate their rich heritage and the wholesome, plant-powered foods they bring to our tables.
I’m so grateful for their hard work and the care they put into every harvest.
And I’ll see you on my next visit to town.

I started out several years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
