Happy Savory Saturday,
Pumpkins aren’t just for carving or sweet pies, they’re one of fall’s most versatile vegetables. And with so many shapes, sizes and colors — from golden orange to creamy white to speckled green, they bring fun and festivity straight to the kitchen.
Savory dishes are where pumpkins truly shine. Think of a warm, creamy pumpkin soup on a cool evening or a rich pumpkin curry simmered with spices. Roasted pumpkin wedges with herbs make the perfect side, while a silky pumpkin risotto or a pumpkin-blended pasta sauce can turn dinner into something unforgettable.
This season, pumpkins remind us that wholesome food can be both nourishing and playful, a true taste of autumn in every bite.
Here’s to cozy flavors and festive harvests.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
