There’s a lot of health hype right now, quick fixes, shortcuts and promises that sound easier than they really are. But when it comes to menopause, the most important support isn’t trendy or dramatic. It’s foundational.
Menopause is a natural transition, just like puberty and every other hormonal shift we move through in life. The body doesn’t need fixing, it needs proper nourishment. When we consistently eat real, whole foods and avoid added synthetic hormones from highly processed foods and animal products, the body is better supported through these changes.
Whole foods, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes and simple plant fats help stabilize blood sugar, support metabolism and reduce unnecessary stress on the body. When those basics are in place, many common issues people struggle with, from acne earlier in life to more intense menopause symptoms later on, tend to be less severe.
This isn’t about extremes or shortcuts. It’s about returning to the fundamentals and trusting that the body knows how to adapt when it’s properly fueled.
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop chasing the hype and come back to the basics.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
