Good Morning,
When it comes to menopause, one of the biggest struggles I hear is confusion around how much to eat.
Are you undereating, hoping it’ll help with weight gain?
Or overeating, thinking “it’s plant-based, so it’s fine”?
Here’s the truth: Your body’s needs change during menopause. Hormones shift, metabolism slows and stress can play tricks on hunger cues. Both undereating and overeating can leave you feeling fatigued, bloated and stuck.
Undereating? You may slow your metabolism even more, increase cravings and lose muscle tone.
Overeating (even healthy foods)? Your body might still struggle with insulin resistance and inflammation.
What’s the sweet spot?
Consistent, nourishing meals, filled with fiber-rich veggies, plant proteins, eaten with intention and mindfulness. It’s not about calorie-counting, it’s about nutrient density and how you feel after you eat.
If you’re not sure whether you’re eating enough (or too much) for your menopause journey, hit reply, let’s figure it out together.
Thriving through balance.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
