Good Morning!
Mood swings are often one of the first things blamed on menopause.
And while hormonal shifts do play a role, they may not be the whole picture.
There’s growing conversation around whether mood changes are purely hormonal or if nutrient intake, especially certain fats, plays a bigger role than we think.
That’s where omega-3s come in.
Omega-3 fatty acids are known to support brain function and mood regulation. They’re often associated with fish, but fish don’t actually produce omega-3s themselves. They get them from what they eat, primarily algae.
Which means you can go straight to the original source.
Plant-based foods like chia seeds and walnuts provide omega-3s in a form that supports overall brain health, without relying on animal sources.
Including a variety of whole, plant-based foods, especially those rich in omega-3s, can be a simple way to support mood more consistently.
The shift isn’t just internal, it’s nutritional.
Taking a closer look at the full picture.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
