Hi,
This Wellness Wednesday, let’s take a moment to appreciate a soft, sweet and often underrated fruit, the pear. Not only are pears refreshing and delicious, but they’re also a gentle yet powerful way to support your digestive health, naturally.
Pears are rich in soluble fiber, especially pectin, which helps soothe digestion, support regularity and feed beneficial gut bacteria, all in a gentle, non-irritating way. Plus, with over 80% water content, pears are naturally hydrating and light, making them a perfect snack or addition to any plant-based meal.
That same fiber can also help maintain healthy cholesterol levels, supporting your heart health while delivering natural sweetness without the crash. Pears give you a slow, steady energy lift, without the spikes and dips of refined sweets. And let’s not forget their skin-loving antioxidants, like vitamin C, which protect your cells and keep you glowing.
Whether you enjoy them sliced fresh in a salad, baked into oats or simply on their own, pears offer sweetness, comfort and care in every bite. In fact, I’ve shared a simple and delicious plant-based pear dessert recipe here: Pear Dessert
Sometimes, the most nourishing choices are also the simplest.
Wishing you a peaceful and balanced Wellness Wednesday.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
