Hi,
This Wellness Wednesday just happens to fall on National Lemon Day and what better way to celebrate than with a soothing, healing glass of Lemon Ginger Water?
This simple morning ritual can do more than just wake you up, it’s a gut-loving way to kickstart your digestion, detoxify your system and fuel your day with intention.
Here’s how to make it:
🍋 Get a quart of water boiling and a canning jar ready.
🍋 Skin about a 2-inch long piece of ginger with a grapefruit spoon if you have one.
🍋 Slice ginger into Julianne pieces.
🍋 Add ginger to the jar, then add the boiling water. Once it’s cooled down place the lid on and seal tightly. (I leave this on my counter overnight).
🍋 In the morning, pour into an 8-ounce glass, add juice of half a lemon and enjoy!
This is a great morning routine for your guts.
Drinking lemon ginger water first thing in the morning supports digestion and helps reduce bloating, making it a gentle yet effective way to start your day. It gives your immune system a boost thanks to its rich content of vitamin C and powerful antioxidants. The anti-inflammatory properties of both lemon and ginger help soothe sore muscles and reduce internal inflammation. Plus, it naturally hydrates and energizes your body without the need for caffeine. This simple drink also supports the liver in gentle detoxification AND even freshens your breath with its natural antibacterial benefits.
Start your day with this zesty elixir and feel the refreshing, invigorating difference. Your taste buds will thank you.
Wishing you a vibrant and lemon-fresh Wellness Wednesday!

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
