Today’s inspiration is all about contrast and surprise, Pears with Herbs.
Pears bring a gentle sweetness that becomes something entirely different when paired with savory herbs and a dash of cayenne pepper. Try slicing them and tossing with a dusting of ground rosemary and sage. Roast in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15–20 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized. A pinch of sea salt before baking enhances the flavors beautifully.
This is a reminder that fruit doesn’t have to live only on the sweet side of the table. With the right balance, it can be bold, savory and deeply satisfying, especially during the colder months when comforting flavors matter most.
Simple, seasonal and full of character, a small shift that opens the door to new ways of cooking and enjoying plant-based food.
Wishing you a cozy and flavorful Savory Saturday.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
