Happy Friday!
This Friday Fave is all about cacao nibs, the pure, unsweetened heart of chocolate. Yes, they’re more bitter than your average sweet treat, but that’s exactly what makes them so special. With about 5 grams of healthy fat per tablespoon, they’re rich and satisfyingly crunchy, ideal for adding depth without overindulging.
Cacao nibs are packed with antioxidants, fiber and minerals like magnesium and iron, yet they contain no sugar. Think of them as a powerful garnish, a light sprinkle over oat bowls, dessert bowls, dairy-free ice creams or fruit salads brings a nuanced chocolate note and a boost of nutrients.
Just remember, a little goes a long way, this isn’t a free pass to eat the whole bag. But next time you want a hint of dark, sophisticated chocolate flavor without a lot of fat, reach for a teaspoon of cacao nibs.
Here’s to bold bites and smart splurges.

I started out over 10 years ago watching Forks Over Knives, decided to “try out” the plant-based meal plan and had shockingly incredible results. I’ve never turned back. I have lost nearly 50 pounds, and that is just one side effect that me, my family, friends and clients have experienced after making the change.
Having been an incredible cook my entire adult life, I started my own personal chef service, NuYu Nourish, to extend my help to others. I interned under a celebrity chef, became a celebrity chef myself and have been expanding my reach and goals ever since! My plan follows strictly and simply those of Dr. Mcdougall, Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Esselstyn.
